Ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili made a decision to stop rallies and marches in Ukraine. According to TV channel Zikki, Ivan Lozovoy, a member of the political movement New Forces, made the mentioned announcement.
He said that the decision was made due to the incident occurring near the Palace of October in Kiev yesterday. “Opposition is a very important part of democracy. Politics without opposition is authoritarianism and dictatorship. Mikheil Saakashvili decided to declare full moratorium with regard to marches and rallies, taking into consideration what happened yesterday,” Lozovoy said, but added that the party will not stop opposition activities.
