MIA urges protesters to allow MPs to leave building without hindrance
“Due to the ongoing demonstration on Rustaveli Avenue near the Parliament building, police forces have been mobilized to maintain safety,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs released this statement.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges the organizers and participants of the demonstration to allow members of parliament and parliamentary staff to leave the building without hindrance, to continue protesting peacefully, especially since the current plenary session in the legislative body has concluded.
The police will promptly intervene in any breach of the law, and appropriate measures stipulated by existing legislation will be taken against those who disrupt public order,” the statement reads.
