MIA to take part in international special raid, confiscate 368 kg heroin drugs
Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) participated in the international special raid against drugs transit in Ukraine.
On July 22 in Kyiv, Ukraine, the police detained two members of the organized crime gang for transporting drugs in big quantities. The detainees are citizens of Turkey.
The investigation determined that 368 kilograms of heroin drugs were hidden in the cargo, which had to be transit from Iran to Ukraine through Armenia and Georgia.
The seized drugs cost approximately 75 million GEL on the black market.
