MIA releases a statement on Poti incident

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an unidentified person attacked law enforcers while attempting to rob ATM in Poti town and inflicted injures in head area with blunt object.
According to the statement released by the agency, the law enforcers fired from the weapon and wounded the robber.
Wounded person died after being hospitalized.
Investigation into the robbery attempty is conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the first part of the article 19-177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and Investigation into the fact of exceeding official authority is conducted under Article 333 part III of Criminal Code of Georgia by Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
