MIA released a statement regarding the rallies scheduled for May 9

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has released a statement regarding the rallies, scheduled for May 9 in various regions of Georgia.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the police will act in accordance with the law related to all the persons whose actions go beyond the freedom of expression and the requirements of the law.

“We would like to remind the public that according to the Georgian law – “Freedom Charter”, it is prohibited to use the means of propaganda of the communist totalitarian and fascist ideology. Consequently, we call on everyone to act in compliance with the law requirements, otherwise the police will carry out the actions defined by the Georgian legislation,” the MIA statement reads.
