MIA lifts restriction on motorcar movement in Devdoraki

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, acting upon the recommendation of the National Environment Agency, has lifted the restriction on motorcar movement in the Devdoraki Valley.

Additionally, the Dariali border checkpoint is operating as usual.

“The specialists from the National Environment Agency conducted an assessment of the valley via the Border Police helicopter to evaluate potential threats.

According to the National Environment Agency, the current level of danger in the Devdoraki valley is minimal,” the MIA stated.

Today in the morning, situated in the Devdoraki measuring detector, recording changes in water flow in the riverbed, issued a warning signal to the emergency management agency. As a result of this precautionary measure, the employees and passengers of the customs checkpoint Kazbegi were safely transferred to protected areas to ensure their safety.
