MIA launched an investigation into the video released on social network today

Criminal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched an investigation into the video released on social network. Video depicts violence against a minor.

According to statement of MIA, the investigation has launched under Article 140 and Prime Article 157 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The crime envisages from 5 to 8 years of imprisonment.

“The investigation has established that the video was uploaded on YouTube in September of 2017, while it was released on April 20. The law enforcers have identified the minor, depicted in the video, as well as the person, who uploaded the video, who is also a minor. Both are 7th and 8th graders.

Investigation into the case is underway.
