MIA: Investigation into the threats made against Salome Zurabishvili and her family members is underway
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the threats made against independent presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili and her family members.
According to the Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimer Bortsvadze, on November 10, Presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and informed that she and her family members were threatened via the social network “Facebook”.
In particular, they received messages threatening their health and lives.
As Vladimer Bortsvadze stated on the same day, the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched an investigation into the fact of unauthorized access to the computer system and threatening. The investigation is underway under Article 284 (Part I) of the Criminal Code of Georgia and Article 151 (Part I)of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
Independent presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili has claimed that she and her family members were threatened with death. Zurabishvili made the regarding statement at a briefing held today.
