MIA destroys drugs with total values of 5, 5 million GEL

Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has destroyed more than 200 kg of drugs in accordance with modern standards. According to MIA, the cost of the destroyed drugs is about 5, 5 million GEL on the so-called black market.

On the basis of the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, law enforcers were gradually destroying narcotic and psychoactive substances in the presence of a special commission.

The drugs were seized as evidence in connection with 700 cases. The drugs were destroyed in a high-temperature oven of appropriate environmental standards and filtration systems. The destruction of drugs was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs.
