MIA arrests two in connection with 'Thieves World'

As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions conducted by the employees of the Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ozurgeti District Prosecutor’s Office, two individuals connected with the ” Thieves World”, were arrested based on a judge’s ruling.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, G.I., born in 1999 and previously convicted, nicknamed “Java,” was arrested for being a member of the ” Thieves World” along with N.K. These crimes are punishable by up to ten years in prison.

The investigation is being conducted under the first part of Article 223 and the second part of Article 223 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
