MIA – 27 people detained during protest organized in an attempt to disrupt premiere
The 27 people were detained during the protest organized in an attempt to disrupt the premiere of the film “And Then We Danced” on November 8.
An investigation is ongoing into 4 incidents and studying of photo-video material is underway – Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.
According to MIA, the premiere of the film still took place as planned at all the 6 cinema halls in Tbilisi and Batumi. Twenty-four people are detained in Tbilisi and 3 – in Batumi.
The Ministry will continue provision of public security and public order in the forthcoming days – MIA said in a statement.
