Merab Morchadze has been officially charged

Charge has been officially presented against Merab Morchadze on fact of pressuring witnesses of khorava murder case. Charge refers to the offence under the Article 372, II Section, of Criminal Code of Georgia.

Merab Morchadze born in 1973 was detained on June 8, on fact of pressuring witnesses based on new evidences obtained into murder case at Khorava Street, a bloody conflict among teenagers on December 1, 2017 that claimed lives of two juveniles.

According to lawyer detainee plead not guilty.

The court sitting in order to discuss the preventive measure against the detainee will be held tomorrow.

In addition, the charge has been presented against Mirza Subeliani, the former high-ranking official of Prosecutor’s Office and father of one of the witnesses of Khorava Street murder case today.
