MEPs join protest on Rustaveli Avenue

European Parliament Members, Rasa Juknevičienė, Michał Szczerba, Tobias Cremer, and Sergey Lagodinsky joined the ongoing protest on Rustaveli Avenue.

The protesters welcomed the MEPs with applause as they unfurled the European Union and Georgian flags.

People gathered in downtown Tbilisi are protesting the government’s decision “not to place the issue of opening accession negotiations with the EU on the agenda until the end of 2028” for the 15th day in a row.

The protesters demand new elections and the release of those arrested during the ongoing rallies.
