“Georgian Dream had a million chances not to betray Georgia but they still chose to obey Putin,” said Viola von Cramon, a member of the European Parliament.
The MEP echoed the parliament’s vote for overriding the veto on the Transparency of Foreign Influence law.
“Georgian Dream had a million chances not to betray Georgia but they still chose to obey Putin. History is never kind to traitors. Despite this setback, the story ends well for the people of Georgia. Sooner or later, they will join the EU and no Russia or their proxies can change that,” she wrote on the X Platform.
The Georgian Parliament overrode President Salome Zourabichvili’s veto on the Transparency of Foreign Influence law on May 28.
