MEP Neuhoff: Even if you don't want to accept it, parliamentary elections in Georgia worked correctly

European Parliament member Hans Neuhoff said during the Wednesday plenary session that “the parliamentary elections in Georgia worked correctly.”

MEP Neuhoff noted that “A few incidents were reported but none to impact the overall integrity of the elections.”

“Even if you don’t want to accept it, the parliamentary elections in Georgia worked correctly carried out they were democratic elections with a clear victor.

I was a member of the parliamentary electoral observation mission. I was there on the ground. I felt there was absolutely no feeling of repression, the opposition had absolute freedom to stand for election and It was able to present its criticisms of the government. The OSCE  morning briefing stated – “We had a tense, but fairly well-run election day. A few incidents were reported but none to impact the overall integrity of the elections.”

Ladies and gentlemen, the Georgians are smart people. They know that the geographical position of their country is significant. They do not want to be drawn into a conflict between power blocks. The Georgians are a proud people, they are open to Europe, but they do not want to submit to the Brussels rainbow agenda.

Let’s respect Georgia’s democratic decision. Let’s respect the sovereignty of the country. Let’s learn from Georgia. So that we do not overestimate our position in the world order,” he added.
