The meeting of the Parliamentary Majority will continue today. Majority MPs will discuss the criteria for selection of judicial candidates of Supreme Court of Georgia.
Zakaria Kutsnashvili said he expected the meeting to be constructive. “The purpose is to have a qualified and fair court having high trust from the public,” Kutsnashvili said.
The first meeting to discuss the judicial candidates was held on January 24 with participation of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Chairman of Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia Party.
MP Mariam Jashi said that Ivanishvili played the unifying role between the confronted sides and that his standpoint was directed at reaching a consensus over the issue.
The meeting will be held at the central office of Georgian Dream Party.
