Mamuka Bakhtadze – If it was April 1, then it would be easier for me to make explanations about Mamuka Khazaradze’s letter
Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister said that it was difficult to make serious comments about the letter presented by Mamuka Khazaradze, Founder of TBC Bank JSC in the court.
According to PM, an investigation was ongoing around the letter and any minister was ready to provide answers upon necessity. “If it was April 1, then it would be easier for me to make explanations about Mamuka Khazaradze’s letter,” he said.
Bakhtadze underlined that objective circumstances were more important rather than politically motivated and distorted facts when evaluating the allegations.
On March 4, Mamuka Khazaradze, Founder of TBC Bank said during the sitting of the Parliamentary Finance-Budgetary Committee that he had received a menacing letter from Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Internal Affairs, ahead of the second round of presidential elections where Gakharia was allegedly threatening Khazaradze with ruining his reputation.
On March 5, Khazaradze presented a copy of the letter in Tbilisi City Court. He said the original had been sent to London for expertise.
