Mamardashvili: Georgia's last four games united nation

Giorgi Mamardashvili, Euro 2024 hero, a Georgian goalkeeper for La Liga club Valencia and the Georgia national team told GPB First Channel that the Georgian team ‘has been working hard for the last 2-3 years to reach Euro 2024.’

“We are a new generation, and we have a lot to offer Georgia. In these four games, the power of football emerged, uniting Georgia. People only spoke about football during this time, which pleased us as players. As a result, more time and effort should be directed into the growth of sports in the country,” Mamardashvili noted.

Speaking of Georgia vs Spain, the Euro 2024 standout said, “We were unlucky in our last game, as we played Spain, who, in my opinion, are one of the favorites and have a good chance of winning the tournament.”
