Majority leader - government will do everything for implementation of Anaklia port project

The government will do everything for the implementation of Anaklia deep sea port project, regardless of private interests of various persons, Archil Talakvadze, Leader of the parliamentary majority said at a news conference today.

According to Talakvadze, the issue of Anaklia port has nothing to do with the “TBC Bank” case. As the leader of the majority said, this project is crucial for state security and economy.

“Within our authority, we are following the case related to the founders of “TBC Bank”, where, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation is underway related to a large amount of financial transactions. I would like to emphasize: this is one of the most important projects for the economy and security of the state and the government has been doing everything for the successful implementation, regardless of attitudes and private interests of various persons towards this project,” Talakvadze said.
