Majority leader: Essentially ISFED calls for violence by stating to monitor events and act to return processes to constitutional framework
“ISFED, which falsified elections, states that it will monitor the events and act to return processes to the constitutional framework. This essentially means calling for violence,” the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, stated during a plenary session.
Mdinaradze questioned who is taking responsibility for ISFED’s actions and statements, particularly, if they contribute to violence.
“Which donor takes responsibility for this? Can anyone provide us with answers regarding who funds ISFED, how they falsified previous elections, and who takes responsibility now? We need answers to these questions before we discuss the necessity of transparency,” Mdinaradze said.
The remarks followed a statement published by several non-governmental organizations, including ISFED, the Young Lawyers Association, and Transparency International – Georgia.
The statement notes: “We will monitor the actions of the government and we will act by the current situation, following the declared will of the Georgian people and to return the country to the constitutional framework”.
