Majority leader believes certain forces interested in involving Georgia in war
Mamuka Mdinaradze, the leader of the parliamentary majority, stated that certain forces have an interest in involving Georgia in a war. Responding to journalists’ questions, Mdinaradze suggested that the unfounded and unfair criticism against Georgia indicates such intentions.
“Georgia has faced unjust treatment, including being denied candidate status and receiving biased resolutions where Mikheil Saakashvili was portrayed as a beacon of democracy while Bidzina Ivanishvili was shown in a negative light,” he noted.
Mdinaradze believes the baseless criticism stems from a desire to draw Georgia into a war.
“If this isn’t the case, then what is the reason behind such absolutely unfair criticism? Name me another version. Since there is no other version, this one must be true. It’s a sad reality that today, certain forces—what we call the ‘global war party’—have an interest in getting Georgia involved in the war,” he added.
