A major rehabilitation project for the Vazha-Pshavela House Museum in Chargali is set to begin, according to Georgia’s Ministry of Culture.

Culture Minister Tinatin Rukhadze reviewed the rehabilitation plan, covering 2025-2027, during a visit to Chargali. She was accompanied by Lela Razikashvili, founder of the Vazha-Pshavela Foundation, Dimitri Mujiri, head of the ministry’s Infrastructure Development and Logistics Department, and Maka Sokhadze, head of the Museums Management Department within the Cultural Heritage Department.

According to the ministry, the project includes museum rehabilitation, infrastructure development and renewal, outdoor lighting improvements, replacement and renewal of museum exhibitions, arrangement of exhibits, and restoration/conservation work.

Following the rehabilitation, the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region will gain another modern cultural and educational centre with contemporary infrastructure.
