Live transmission of 91st Academy Awards ceremony on First Channel, February 25
The 91st Academy Awards ceremony will take place on February 25, 2019.
The 152-meter-long Red Carpet has been already rolled out in front of the Dolby Theatre. The main stage has been decorated with 40,000 real roses.
For the first time in 30 years, the ceremony will not have a host. Winners will be announced by Hollywood stars.
First Channel will broadcast the ceremony in Georgia. The viewer will be able to watch the Oscar ceremony live on February 25 at 01:30. The rerun of the ceremony will be aired on February 25, after the main news program “Moambe”.
Eight films will compete for the Best Picture Award: Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.
On January 22, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 91st annual Academy Awards, a.k.a. the Oscars, in all 24 categories.
