Lithuanian President says Georgia deserves positive EU decision if succeeds in reforms

Gitanas Nauseda, President of Lithuania, on Thursday, said “All Eastern plan countries deserve fair treatment and if there will be a success in implementing necessary reforms, Moldova, Ukraine, and Georgia, all of them deserve positive outcomes, the positive decisions.”

“I remember our story, our way to European Union. At the very beginning, probably there were different situations in different countries but after quite a long period of adjustment of our legal system, we were able to become the member of the EU,” he said at a doorstep interview ahead of the European Council summit in Brussels.
