Levan Surguladze – Reform of accumulative pension system is to ensure worthy elderly age

The main purpose of the reform over the accumulative pension system is to ensure financially secure and worthy elderly age – Levan Surguladze, Director of Pension Agency said in “Free Vision” Program of First Channel.

According to Surguladze, based on his presumption, about 700 thousand people will join the system starting January 1, 2019, through an obligatory rule.

Also, the accumulative pension system will become an investment capital base the 80% of which will be used in Georgia by financial organizations to produce bonds.

On the question of the program host, who will be a guarantor that the money transferred to their accounts by citizens will not be lost as it happened in the 19990s, Surguladze said that the system to be introduced will be a structure secured by control mechanisms and protected by the law.
