Levan Ghirsiashvili appointed as new Head of National Security Council's Office
Vakhtang Gomelauri, Secretary of the National Security Council and Minister of Internal Affairs, introduced the newly appointed head of the National Security Council’s Office, Levan Ghirsiashvili to the staff. He wished him success in his new position.
At the meeting, the current events and situation in Georgia were discussed within the competence of the National Security Council as well as future steps.
Levan Ghirsiashvili was appointed to the position of Head of the National Security Council’s Office by the order of Georgian Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.
Since August 2022 up to date, Levan Ghirsiashvili worked as the advisor to the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. In 2019 – 2022, he held the position of the first deputy head of the Emergency Situations Management Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In 2018 – 2019, Levan Ghirsiashvili was the senior adviser of the Georgian Embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and from 2015 to 2017 he worked as deputy secretary of the State Security and Crisis Management Council.
