The Lelo party, the political union Ana Dolidze-for the People, and the political movement Freedom Square have united. During the presentation, Lelo’s leader, Mamuka Khazaradze, emphasized the importance of unity in pursuing a European path for Georgia.
“We will begin our work with unity. All of us share a common goal: a strong Georgia—a stable, sustainable, and economically robust country. We want peace, steady development for our children, and a place where Georgia can showcase its rich traditions and promising future. That place is Europe.
We are not a small nation; we are a country with great traditions and a profound history. Why is this battle decisive? Because since our independence, our country has never faced such a critical choice. We have never been so close to a radical shift towards the opposite direction, often referred to as the Russian swamp. Therefore, the October 26 elections are a watershed moment. Either we end up in the swamp, or we stand tall in the free world, where our Georgianness, citizenship, flag, and coat of arms will be held in high regard.
Achieving this requires unity. The European choice is a national choice. What we are doing today is making a national choice. With unity, we will undoubtedly prevail,” Khazaradze said.
The representatives of the non-governmental sector founded the political movement Freedom Square on July 1.
