Lawyer of Vepkhia Bakradze demands imposition of bail to defendant

Levan Marsagishvili, Lawyer of Vepkhia Bakradze, charged for having murdered a 25-year-old woman at Barnov Street in Tbilisi, demands imposition of bail to his defendant. Lawyer said that his client admitted the crime but did not agree with qualification of article.

Tbilisi City Court today is discussing imposition of punishment to charged persons into case of murder of 25-year-old woman at Barnov Street in Tbilisi. Vepkhia Bakradze, former step father of the young woman is charged for the case, while the other person is blamed for non-notification of the crime.

Prosecutor’s Office demands imprisonment to Bakradze for crime committed with severity and violence. The charge envisages from 16 to 20 years in prison.

Vepkhia Bakradze, former step father slit throat to a young woman in presence of two children on April 13 at Barnov Street in Tbilisi. The crime suspect was arrested on April 14. Bakradze, previously convicted on charge of family violence, was reduced prison term through pardoning by President. He left penitentiary facility in May of 2017.
