Lawyer Davit Girgvliani refused to defend Malkhaz Kobauri, accused of killing Smith's family in Khada gorge

Lawyer Davit Girgvliani will no longer defend Malkhaz Kobauri, 19 year old shepherd accused of killing the Smith family in Khada Gorge. The lawyer told the First Channel.

Presumably, the lawyer made this decision after when the conclusion of expertise was released by media, according to which it was confirmed that accused person had sexual contact with Laura Smith and her minor son was shot by holding a gun to his head.

Malkhaz Kobauri, 19-year-old shepherd is charged for murder of Smith family members in Khada Gorge of Dusheti region. The charged person does not plead guilty. He claimed that two foreign men killed them and threatened him with killing of his family members.

American couple Ryan and Lora Smith and their 4-year-old son Caleb were murdered in the Khada Gorge, Dusheti region of Georgia. Police detained 19-year-old shepherd, Malkhaz Kobauri, in connection with the case. Kobauri faces from 16 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
