Kutaisi International Airport has opened three hours earlier than planned and is now operating normally, the airport reported, stating that flights to Dortmund and Barcelona departed at 04:00 as planned.
“The sooner opening was made possible through the efforts of the Kutaisi International Airport team and the coordination of the Georgian Airports Union,” Kutaisi International Airport stated.
The temporary suspension of airport operations was due to heavy rainfall and precipitation.
A team of experts is actively working on the airport grounds to assess the situation. The airport assures it is fully operational and ready to serve passengers as usual.
