The United Airports of Georgia have announced the completion of a new parking lot at Kutaisi International Airport, which can now accommodate an additional 500 cars. Furthermore, a drainage system has been built in.
The project involved laying 20,000 m2 of asphalt, organizing highways, footpaths, and an advanced parking system. Additionally, a new drainage system and a decorative fence have been arranged. The lighting system will be fully operational by the end of the month.
This expansion has increased the airport’s parking capacity, with the existing parking lot for 200 cars now extended to accommodate 700 vehicles. The upgraded parking facility adheres to international standards.
The Union of Georgian Airports have entirely funded the project, amounting to the GEL 3.9 million investment.
