Kobakhidze: After elections, functional and not so-called technical gov't ensure national development
“In reality, you know that our approval rating is about 60 per cent. In such conditions, discussing an opposition technical government is a farce,” PM Irakli Kobakhidze told the media.
The Prime Minister affirmed that elections will proceed as usual, with the first session of Parliament taking place in late November or early December. A functional government—not a so-called technical government—will be formed to ensure the country’s development.
“The proposed plan, which lacks implementation details, amounts to bringing the country to a standstill for an entire year, effectively dragging it into conflict and chaos. This is their scheme, their assignment, and their goal—one that is not feasible,” noted Irakli Kobakhidze.
Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili stated she would appoint a technical government before the elections.
