Ketevan Tsikhelashvili – UN resolutions are efficient mechanisms to keep international community informed
The resolutions adopted by the United Nations Human Rights Council serve as important and efficient mechanisms to keep the international community regularly informed about the situation across Georgia’s occupied regions – Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality said.
According to Tsikhelashvili, it is difficult to evaluate what will be the outcome of the resolution when the occupational regime continues violation of human rights of locals. But the UN will be the organization, which will repeatedly remind Russia of its internationally taken commitments from its tribune.
On March 22, the United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution about Georgia’s occupied territories “Cooperation with Georgia.”
