We pay attention and direct more efforts to Georgia – Kay Bailey Hutchison, United States Permanent Representative to NATO said during an online conference in response to the question of Georgian First Channel.
Georgian First Channel became interested whether NATO aspirant country, and namely Georgia, was on the working agenda of NATO Defense Ministerial.
“We have an open door policy and as everyone knows, we have recently taken aboard Northern Macedonia. We have also granted Ukraine the status of an expanded partner, which Georgia already has.
We pay attention and direct more efforts to Georgia and Ukraine since they are our closest partners. We believe that both countries face aggression from Russia.
Russia is trying to illegally seize parts of territories from Georgia and Ukraine. NATO stands firmly for sovereignty of these two countries and we will continue doing so,” Kay Bailey Hutchison said.
