Kakha Gogolashvili – Georgia’s military role in Syria conflict is not considered
Kakha Gogolashvili, Director of the European Studies at Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies says that Georgia’s military role in Syria conflict is not considered though Georgia is obliged to support its western allies politically.
“Georgia should be prepared. We should be careful. It is possible that Russia decided to punish Georgia for not handling its partners. Russia sees Georgia as an ally of the West and it can organize attempts of subversive acts or any kind of instability,” Gogolashvili claimed.
The US, UK and France launched more than 100 missiles on Friday night against what they say were Syrian chemical weapons facilities, in response to a chemical weapons attack in a Damascus suburb a week ago.
