Justice Minister: Georgian citizenship terminated to former General Prosecutor
All procedures for the termination of Georgian citizenship to former General Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze are completed, said Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze.
Rati Brefgadze answered the question of whether Otar Partskhaladze’s passport was annulled and whether this person could be searched in the database as a citizen:
“I cannot say anything about the data of the Central Election Commission (CEC). However, the procedures that the Justice Ministry has to carry out for the termination of Georgian citizenship are done. I confirm,” he said.
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili stripped Georgian citizenship to former General prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze on October 17. The decision follows the US Department of State’s move to add Partskhaladze to the sanctions list.
