Judges to prepare joint appeal

The judges have prepared a joint appeal calling on all parties to refrain from discrediting the judiciary, according to Dimitri Gvritishvili, a member of the High Council of Justice.

“The judiciary is now more independent than ever. We have prepared today a joint appeal. The judges once again protested against the disinformation campaign, conducted without any evidence, which aims to discredit the judiciary” Gvritishvili said.

We call on all actors to stop speaking in the language of ultimatums and stop interfering in the independence of the judiciary.

“In the perception of several judges and part of the corps of judges, as it seems, there is an opinion that the actions of the representatives of our strategic partner countries do not comply with the principles of relations with a democratic, legal and sovereign state.

There is a readiness from the judiciary to cooperate with any entity that wants to improve the system. We will cooperate with everyone for this purpose”, Dimitri Gvritishvili said.
