The Georgian Defense Minister, Juansher Burchuladze, announced that he received an offer to consider the position of ambassador to NATO from the candidate Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Burchuladze expressed gratitude for the offer and pointed out he would likely accept the position in four months.
“The appointment is scheduled for four months from now. While I express gratitude for this opportunity, I am taking these next four months to rest from my lengthy civil service. During this time, I will carefully evaluate whether to continue my diplomatic service or explore other avenues,” Burchuladze declared.
The change in the Cabinet involves replacing Juansher Burchuladze with Irakli Chikovani as Defense Minister.
