Joint Commission meeting on road transport between Georgia and China held in Beijing
The first joint commission meeting between Georgia and China on international road transport was held in Beijing, China, the State Transport Agency reported.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Georgia and China in transport and logistics, particularly in developing the freight transportation sector, transit potential, and infrastructural capabilities.
As a result of the negotiations, both parties agreed to increase the quota for international road freight transportation. This agreement will allow Georgian carriers to better plan and execute transport operations with China. The commission also addressed challenges in international road transportation and identified necessary measures to be implemented by authorized officials.
The meeting also explored the potential for creating logistics centers and both sides expressed a willingness to continue cooperation in this area.
