European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will visit Georgia today.
At the initiative of Johannes Hahn the European School will be built in Tbilisi.
The European School of Eastern Partnership is an unprecedented project of the European Union. It is the first school established outside the EU countries. The school is for graduate school students from Eastern Partnership countries and it offers internationally recognized European quality educational programs. After completion students will receive International Baccalaureate Diploma of European standards.
The project is fully supported by the European Commission.
Johannes Hahn along with Georgia’s Education Minister Mikheil Batiashvili and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze will set a symbolic capsule at the construction site of the School’s building at Lisi Lake.
Construction of the “European School” will be completed in 2023.
