Georgia has always had challenges, but it looks much better than other countries, – Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations told the journalists after the meeting with the the students of European School of Eastern Partnership in Tbilisi.
To the question on challenges facing Georgia, the Commissioner noted that it is very important to have an independent, transparent and professional judiciary system.
“This system did not play a significant role during the communism ruling, as there was no confidence in it. This system should be created. Particular attention must be paid to the first and second instances of courts, which are especially important for ordinary citizens. Importance of media freedom is also important, ” – said Johannes Han.
