Javier Colomina: NATO is committed to Georgia and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations
NATO is committed to Georgia and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations, said Javier Colomina, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, and Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, following his meetings held in Georgia.
“Good talks in Georgia with Salome Zourabichvili, Shalva Papuashvili, Ilia Darchiashvili, Ministry of Defense, and the opposition. Discussed NATO-Georgia cooperation, Vilnius Summit, the need to redouble efforts on reforms, democratic standards, and continued support to Ukraine. NATO is committed to Georgia and its Euroatlantic aspirations,” he tweeted.
Javier Colomina paid a visit to Georgia on May 24 as part of his South Caucasus tour.
