NATO continues prolific work with Georgia, said Javier Colomina, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
According to Javier Colomina, Georgia is invited at the NATO Foreign Ministerial in Bucharest where the demands to prepare Georgia for NATO membership will be discussed.
“We will have the opportunity to speak about Caucasus and different dynamics there, Russian threats, how to establish partnership and meeting demands to prepare Georgia for final NATO membership,” he said.
Permanent Delegation of the Georgian Parliament to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly participates in the annual session of the NATO PA in Madrid, Spain.
Members of the delegation, headed by chair of the Defense and Security committee Irakli Beraia, are holding meetings within the framework of the NATO PA.
The delegation also includes First Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Relations committee Giorgi Khelashvili, and deputies of the Defense and Security committee Vladimer Chachibaia and Teona Akubardia.
