As a result of joint activities of the Prosecutor’s Office and Interior Ministry, Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov has been arrested for the crime related to the fact of inhuman and degrading treatment of a Marneuli resident, –  Jarji Tsiklauri, the Deputy Chief of the investigative department of Chief Prosecutor’s Office made the regarding statement at the Rustavi Prosecutor’s Office.

“On the charge of inhuman and degrading treatment of a Marneuli resident, Prosecutor’s Office and Interior Ministry staff detained Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov.

On the fact of physical insult of the same citizen, criminal prosecution has been launched against the member of the United National Movement MP Azer Suleimanov, the member of City Council of Marneuli from Georgian Dream party Ramin Alakhverdievi and the relative of Marneuli Mayor E.G.”, – Jarji Tsiklauri said.

Studio Monitor released a reportage, which shows that the man, who verbally insulted Bidzina Ivanishvili and Marneuli Mayor at the rally outside the parliament, became a victim of inhuman and degrading treatment.

Prosecutor’s Office launched investigation on the fact of inhuman and degrading treatment carried out by a group. Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov has been arrested.
