The number of people who support Georgia’s EU membership remains stable – Janos Herman, EU Ambassador to Georgia thus commented on the survey conducted by US National-Democratic Institute (NDI).
Georgian government’s stated goal to join EU and NATO is acceptable for the majority of Georgian population. Besides, more citizens support joining EU than NATO based on survey of National-Democratic Institute (NDI).
Namely, 72% of respondents support Georgian government’s stated goal to join EU, 21% stated it is unacceptable for them while 7% does not know the answer to the question.
As of NATO, 64% of respondents supports Georgian government’s stated goal to join North-Atlantic Treaty Organization, the goal is unacceptable for 26% of respondents; 9% does not know the answer to the question.
