Jailed ex-president tells public officials they stay inviolable if no-engaged in election fraud

“The oligarch’s regime is over electorally. It should be formalized. There is no doubt that they will lose the elections. However, they do not intend to hold normal elections but seize the election system,” said jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili in a video link at his trial.

According to Mikheil Saakashvili, unity is significant at this decisive moment.

“We should tell everyone that we should stand together. I want to tell public officials that if they refuse to participate in the election fraud, they will stay inviolable and continue their work in the interests of Georgia. They do not hold party positions,” he said.
