Irakli Kobakhidze -- Parliamentary elections should be much better

Nobody liked the environment in which the presidential elections were held – the parliamentary elections should be much better, – Chairman of Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze said in the parliament on Tuesday.

As Kobakhidze told reporters, the OSCE / ODIHR recommendations are important and the amendments to the election legislation will be prepared based on consultations and cooperation with them. According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the ruling team will also take care to overcome the deficiencies revealed in practice.

Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of NATO said during his visit to Georgia on March 24 that NATO wants to see more reforms in the country and strengthening of democratic institutes especially with respect to elections.
