Irakli Kobakhidze: Hard-line position of previous government did not allow us to take appropriate measures in terms of labor security
Speaker of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze responded to Tkibuli mine tragic accident at the extraordinary session of the Parliament today.
As Kobakhidze noted the hard-line position of the previous government did not allow the legislative body to take correct measures and appropriate changes in terms of labor security.
According Speaker of the Parliament, tragedy that occurred in Tkibuli is a pain for everyone.
“As a result of Tkibuli fatal accident four miners died, which is a tragic event for each of us, I want to express my condolences to the families of the victims, the relatives, to the whole Georgia… Specific measures should be taken to avoid such incidents in future. I would like to emphasize that the parliamentary majority always had the right position; however the hard-line position of the previous government did not allow us to take corrective measures and appropriate changes in terms of labor security. This problem should be solved urgently”, – said Irakli Kobakhidze.
According to him, the Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has taken principal and very correct on the closure of the shaft.
