In no case! Today, the reality is different in Georgia – Defense Minister Irakli Gharibashvili thus responded to the video address of former President Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to Gharibashvili, people do not trust Saakashvili’s apology and his sincerity.

“I really did not want to talk about this person, but since you asked me, I will tell you my opinion. Of course, not only me, but probably the whole population is questioning his sincerity – his so-called apology. In general, all his words are a demonstration of a lie. We remember Saakashvili as one of the most shameful commanders in chief. We saw him lying on the ground during the August war. He was the most coward commander in chief.

As for his apology, he has so far stubbornly stated that he and his criminal team did nothing wrong. And now we hear his confession about some mistakes 8 years later. Those were not mistakes, those were the gravest crimes against our citizens, against humanity. Perpetrators do not apologize for crimes, they are punished for crimes in democratic societies and states. Saakashvili will be brought to justice in Georgia”, Gharibashvili said.

In his recent video address, Mikheil Saakashvili apologized to Georgian people and said that he was returning to Georgia.
