Interior Minister warns to react in line with law

Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri said the rights of the protest participants will not be limited, but law enforcers will act in line with the law.

The Minister remarked on the statement of the “Girchi-More Freedom” party leader Zurab Japaridze who said: “We are ready for many things, including taking up buildings. This is not Bidzina’s building. It belongs to the people who gathered at Rustaveli. What is the problem with kicking out those who are there?”

“We will act in accordance with the law and we will deal with it in line with the rules. We will not disperse them with punches. We will order them culturally and arrest if needed. There will be nothing new about hot autumns for us,” said Vakhtang Gomelauri.
